first open registry editor........ to open it , first go to run and type ''regedit'' there.  
now browse to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\ Windows  
then modify ?CSDVersion? from ?0?00000200? (SP2) to the Windows XP SP3 value of ?0?00000300? and reboot
 
that's all and then your windows will be converted from SP 2 to SP 3 and you will be able to run all the windows xp sp3 programs on windows xp sp2 and if you want your sp 2 again than you can undo the above process by changing that value from 0?00000200 to 0?00000300........

Make frnds scare for VIRUS

Open notepad and type this:

Then save it as Virus.VBS

and go to the folder that contains it and open it if a window pops out saying a virus has been detected it's working. Press yes or no to close the window and put it in the startup folder of the victim's account.
On startup the window should appear.
Note: This does not harm your computer as it does not contain virus.

The Yes and no button does not do anything except closing the window. And you can edit the virus in the sentence: Warning a virus has detected on your PC to any kind of virus eg.Trojan Horse like this lol=msgbox ("Warning a Trojan horse has been detected on your PC. Press YES to format your hard disk now or press NO to format format your hard disk after system reboot",20,"Warning")

Oh in between make sure your victim does not panic and really reformat his harddisk. hahaha 35

Make the folder INVISIBLE without hiding

Make your folders invisible...

1)Right Click on the desktop.Make a new folder
2)Now rename the folder with a space(U have to hold ALT key and type 0160).
3)Now u have a folder with out a name.
4)Right click on the folder>properties>customize. Click on change icon.
5)Scroll a bit, u should find some empty spaces, Click on any one of them.
click ok Thats it,

now u can store ur personal data without any 3rd party tools

control your mouse by keyboard

i think most of you must be knowing this trick, actually it's not a trick but it's a function of windows xp..... it would be very helpful to someone whose mouse is not working and they've to do an urgent work . it's a very simple trick.
just  press Alt+Left shift key + NumLock.
now i will tell you how to control your mouse..
Use the Numerical pad for controlling the mouse pointer. (eg. 4 to move left 6 to move right....)
5 is for click.
+ is for double click
-  is for right click.

now i would also tell you how to use the on-screen keyboard or in simple language how to use your keyboard using mouse..
To use it go to start-> run and type osk
now you can use it just by clicking on the keys displayed on the on-screen keyboard...

Create Keyboard Shortcut for Any Program in Windows

Click OK. Select one of the icons from the list and then click OK

 You could also give it a shortcut keystroke such CTRL+ALT+L. This would save you only one keystroke from the normal command, but it could be more convenient.

Correcting System Hang at Startup

If your system hangs about 2 or 3 minutes at startup, where you can't access the Start
button or the Taskbar, it may be due to one specific service (Background Intelligent
Transfer) running in the background. Microsoft put out a patch for this but it didn't
work for me. Here's what you do:
Click on Start/Run, type 'msconfig', then click 'OK'.
Go to the 'Services' tab, find the 'Background Intelligent Transfer' service.
Disable it, apply the changes & reboot.
